Overview

As you approach this splendid country house, the first thing you will notice is the contrast between the renovated colourful part of the façade and its wonderfully preserved original stonework: quite a statement to be made in the middle of a humble but hospitable hamlet in the Carballo area, surrounded by pine forest and a few other rural homes belonging to quiet and discreet neighbours.

Families coming with children will find this holiday home is particularly suitable for little ones, with flat child-safe lawned gardens, a gated swimming pool and an outdoor dining area by the barbecue where they can experience the very best outdoor living for a family or a group of friends with children: complete peace of mind is possible in well thought out houses like this!

Located slightly inland from glorious Coast of Death, this well appointed country home is just a pretty and easy 20 minute drive to sandy beaches –and some of the highest and most dramatic cliffs in Europe– through green unspoilt countryside.

The house makes a great base for exploring both the interior of Galicia and this coastal area with over 1,000 hectares of protected land including interesting wetlands and dunes: join walks, horseriding, birdwatching, or diving activities here for an unparalleled exploring experience.

A stylish and spacious open plan living and dining area opens directly to green lawned gardens, a swimming pool and a pretty private spot for great meals al fresco with a stone-built barbecue and wooden table and benches.

At the front of the house, the pool area is gated for child safety: while it can be overlooked by a neighbouring property, their dwellers are discreet and tactful locals mostly minding their daily routines and fully respectful of your privacy.

Your local bar restaurant is within walking distance too. They serve tapas and delicious home made Galician meals.

Preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen is no less of a joy, and keen cooks will feel in their element in this modern spick-and-span kitchen offering the ultimate home away from home.

The elegant bedrooms at this villa come with top comfort, and provided with quality furnishings and bedlinen, along with the pleasant decor reigning throughout the entire house.

Another double bedroom on the first floor enjoys a massive furnished roof terrace with sunloungers, a day bed, and very gratifying views of the unspoilt rural setting.

The property has been well thought out with good understanding of quality and is committed to high standards, so never mind winter: it comes adequately equipped for cosy winter stays: sea lovers will still appreciate the dramatic and impressive Coast of Death, with views that will remain with you long after you are gone.

Besides the fantastic exploring opportunities in the equally beautiful coastal and inland areas around, great city trips to La Coruña or renowned historical Santiago de Compostela are only 35 and 50 minutes away respectively.
