Overview

In this 19th-century villa, you can imagine you are Jay Gatsby or Daisy Buchanan lounging in spacious gardens whilst sipping a cool refreshing Martini. Although it is not as grand as the Great Gatsby Mansion, it is undoubtedly chic and a rare opportunity to enjoy a house of the Art Deco era so close to the sea.

In 2023 a 2 bedroom annexe was built and included in the price, offering a total of 6 bedrooms and more sleeping arrangements.

Being such close proximity to Barcelona, no doubt, affluent families in the 19th century would have driven out to such a villa for summer fun, to relax and play in the beautifully manicured lawned gardens or to skip down to the nearby sandy beach.

This unique house is set in an urban beach area, and although there are other houses not far from you, it still serves as a peaceful retreat and enjoys a great deal of privacy.

The villa sits just above a pretty golf course and sets a wonderfully tranquil mood.. Maybe it is time to slow down. On the other hand, the far-reaching lawns and the 12-metre pool seemed to invite us to run about, roll around and dive into the refreshing water all at once!

The designers of this house clearly demanded quality and paid close attention to detail. The kitchen facilities are fantastic, and if you fancy preparing a scrumptious meal, you may enjoy the up-to-date appliances and the extra wide oven!

If you decide to fill the house with friends or family, the sitting room may be slightly tight for 16 people. 

And if you are a true citizen of the 21st Century, you will love the great technology in this holiday home, including a Google assistant.

We felt that the trump card of this holiday home is the location. Not only are you in striking distance of the vibrant cosmopolitan Barcelona, but you can also easily reach the spectacular mountain range of Montserrat and visit the Benedictine monastery Santa Maria with its breathtaking views.

There is also the natural park of Montnegre, where you can hike, climb, mountain bike, etc, through Mediterranean woods and forests. Then, brush aside the branches, and you will have shimmering sea views!

There is more.....as well as your pretty local beach, which is a ten-minute walk downhill (you may want to think twice about hiking up in the mid-day sun); you can also have sun-drenched days out on the beautiful wild beaches of Costa Brava.

Take a picnic or treat yourself to tapas in a chiringuito while listening to the Mediterranean surf's reassuring ebb and flow.

To sum it up, this holiday home has high levels of comfort and the facilities hardly miss anything you wish to have.

The property was in a good location and the facilities were great. The hosts were very helpful. The place could do with a handy to go round and fix a few things that need tightening, the main door needs adjusting and a few light bulbs changing. But we all enjoyed our stay in a relaxing environment. Beware the mosquitoes!"

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful property. Plenty of space, great facilities and a huge pool. There were so many places to sit and eat as a group or in small groups and a lovely shaded sitting area. The location was great for exploring in a car and the beach was a short walk away, but harder coming back up hill. I would recommend this property but must mention the mosquitoes which were a but of a problem. Ir wouldn't stop me booking it again thousand we would be more prepared."

Wow! What a huge nice and nice house and a great garden.Actually, everything exceeds the expectations we already had after booking.The house itself is neat, clean, nicely decorated. Spaces are large, high ceilings and yet it feels cozy. We were with 12 ladies but everyone could do her thing without getting in each other's way.The outdoor area gives a very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful grass, nice seats and a lovely swimming pool (with shower toilet)! Really enjoy the wonderful sunshine to the fullest.Christina is a fantastic host! Communication was easy and smooth, quick responses and good tips (both upfront and during our stay). Reception with a homemade cheesecake was really incredibly sweet and welcoming.In short, we greatly enjoyed this wonderful house (garden) and would love to come back and recommend to everyone!
