Overview

Gaucin, a town that has long attracted artists and travellers, is the home town of Bizet’s beautiful and bewitching gypsy Carmen. Wander through the meandering streets of Gaucin on a balmy summer night and you may be lucky to catch a strain of Flamenco, conjuring up for you the whirling and emotion of Andalusian history and culture.

Then wind your way up further and you will reach the warmth and cheer of your enchanting village house, located in an area of the village where you can enjoy some of the most stunning and attractive views! Or, if you have just driven back from an activity in one of the many natural beauty spots, such as a bathe in a secluded wild river, then you can park your car at the back entrance to your villa, an absolute luxury in Gaucin.

However, you could stroll around to the front door and enter your house through a tranquil and pretty village street. And what a gorgeous village house this is!

The house is arranged on different levels, making it interesting and providing special nooks and crannies for everyone, although, take into consideration how this may affect small children or people with reduced mobility.

There are beautiful outdoor areas and the one we loved the most was the top floor where there is a stunning mirador. We could have sat up there for hours, enjoying the changing vista and sounds as the sun-drenched day merges into a tropical night.

Soaking up the Andalusian’s mid-day sun’s rays reminds you of the terrace below with the extremely inviting pool, yet another luxury in such a village house! Being a village house, we can’t boast the same complete privacy of a country property but there are plenty of secluded spots to stretch out and relax in private.

The kitchen is wonderful and spills out onto yet another terrace where you can enjoy endless meals with breathtaking views. Here you have a gas barbecue which can be used all year round.

The kitchen has a proper fridge and a great cooker range, always a bonus!

There is plenty of room for six people since the property owner purchased a little house next door, that we call the studio, and made a door to connect the two properties.

Although the studio is both simpler and more modern and practical than the main house, it is a great space and is perfect for children, where they can have as much fun and make as much noise as they like without bothering the adults!

But if you only require the property for two people then you can book it separately and the door to the studio will be kept shut and unoccupied.

In the village there are excellent bars, restaurants and shops to suit all budgets. And, with the sea and natural beauty spots within easy reach, we can honestly say this is a superb holiday home and that Gaucin is a truly magnificent destination!

We absolutely loved jacaranda villa- perfectly situated within easy reach of the town’s shops and restaurants. Joephi was welcoming and helpful and ensured our stay was perfect. The pool and garden was amazing and what a view!!!"

Stephanie | August | 2023

The house was amazing - very spacious and comfortable. Loved the view, the pool, and the terraces on different levels. Also because it is used often by the owner it was incredibly well set up unlike some vacation rentals. Josefi was very helpful. The air conditioning unit in the kitchen was a bit unreliable although it did work. I suspect the owner has probably since replaced it. The village is beautiful and there are many good restaurants there. We had such a relaxing time and I wish we could have stayed longer. Would thoroughly recommend."

Andrew | July | 2023

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday in the beautiful town of Gaucin. The villa was superb and had everything that was needed for our holiday and was literally within 5 mins walk of the various restaurants tapas bars. Special mention to Josefi who was on hand to answer any questions and provide assistance where necessary, also Kiko M.Jose who looked after the pool, villa plants - we will definitely be back!!"

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the above property in Gaucin. Firstly we found dealing with Rustical Travel really good. Clear communications, really useful information and everything is well explained. The description of the villa itself was perfect. Very accurate. We would also like to comment on the lovely ‘host’ we had who greeted us and provided us with useful local tips. Her name was Josefi, and she was from the village of Gaucin. Just knowing that she was available to help us if we needed it, was a great comfort. We will definitively be recommending Rustical Travel to our friends. Thank you for a great holiday.
