Overview

Until summer 2019, this was a rather unpretentious and ordinary looking Spanish villa. Although it remains a property ideal for uncomplicated holidays without remarkable luxuries, the new owner has managed to fully transform the humble villa into a tasteful country home.

With plenty of experience in successful holiday lettings, she claims she was particularly attracted to this property for its amazing views and didn´t hesitate in wanting to restore it. Who can blame her – even the pictures speak for themselves!

Fully renovated, it now offers plenty of lovely touches and also rates well in comfort. Yet undoubtedly, its strongest point is the outdoor terrace, perfect for those whose priority is being able to spend long hours basking under open skies and taking in the uninterrupted views.

It is all spread out on only one floor, both indoors and outdoors, so you´ll find it all conveniently at hand: the pool, the furnished pergola, the chill out areas or the furnished porch... easy living, easy holidays.

We particularly liked the large pergola which offers the perfect amount of shade for outdoor meals; the Weber barbecue is also an excellent addition which you can use any time of the year.

In regards to privacy, even though you can spot other villas on the distant hillside, your location remains nicely secluded and quiet, which means you should not be overlooked.

Expect amazing morning lighting and ambience thanks to its privileged south east position. A member of our Rustical team spent a night here and claimed he witnessed one of the best sunrises he had ever seen!

You can tell there is some truly breathtaking scenery just by looking at the pictures: on clear days you can see the sea, while at night time the lights from the coastal town of Velez Malaga shine bright in the distance.

Indoors the house remains quite cool as it still maintains its thick traditional walls, nonetheless during our visit the owner explained that only the living room needed A/C, so 2 units have been provided to cool this space down.

Bathrooms are not en-suite, yet there are 2 full bathrooms as well as 2 WCs. Beds are comfy and we found the bedding nice and soft.

The house has been furnished to a good standard. Not too complicated or over the top, but with personality and a good sense of style.

No matter how rural and secluded your location may seem, there are in fact good places for you to shop nearby and some good restaurants too. Our favourite option, El Puerto restaurant, is renown for its amazing fresh fish.

You are at the foothills of Montes de Malaga, so excitingly, you are only about 30 minutes away from Malaga´s beaches. Or, if you are not travelling at the hottest time of year, we suggest going for some pretty walks through the pine forests of the area.

And still, we have plenty of other ideas for day outs! Before travelling, we´ll send you a local guide to help you make the most of your holidays in this region.

Chris | September | 2022

The process of booking with Rustical Travel was very smooth. The booking was delayed due to covid but the rebooking went smoothly. This villa is absolutely gorgeous. It is spacious and well equipped in the kitchen as well as toiletries etc in the bathrooms. The views are indeed spectacular and the peace and quiet very relaxing. There is enough shade for those who don’t want too much sun and ample sunbathing places for those who do. The local town was pleasant and it wasn’t far to venture into as well as Malaga being only 30 mins away for a great choice of restaurants and plenty of shopping. The owner of the villa provided great communication and was really helpful. I would like to mention the road to the villa though…… it is very steep and winding with severe turns so be prepared for this."

What a fantastic villa with stunning views. From the start getting to this villa was made easy by the clear instructions that were sent. On arrival to the Villa a small welcome park has been left by the owner and was very much appreciated. Inside the Villa it had everything you needed for a villa holiday, with four bedrooms four bathrooms an adequate indoor dining space and a kitchen with two fridges and a freezer, One off the fridges we used to store all the soft drinks and alcohol. The outdoor space had amazing views at any time of the day or night and were stunning . The swimming pool is perfect to dip into and get away of some of the summer heat, There are plenty of sunbeds and outdoor seating area with some in the shade which we used in the heat of the day to cool down, we had a fantastic barbecue which we use most nights and alfresco dining at the large outside table. There is a small village a couple of miles away which had everything that you would need from a supermarket ,bakery, butcher and some small Tapas bars. Carmen our host was very helpful and easy to contact, when we asked for places to eat, we had no issues at this villa and would recommend for an excellent holiday, and would return."

Outdoor space great. Sitting/ dining room good. Kitchen small , only one bin so very difficult to recycle. Bedrooms small and difficult to store clothes and sundries. Biggest problem was drive. Far too steep and sharp bends. When you met another car very awkward to reverse back. Great views. Would not return because of road. Not really good value for money."
