Open plan kitchen/living/dining room; Bedroom 1: double bedded room (queen size bed) plus two single beds with en suite bathroom (shower over bathtub) and access to gardens; Bedroom 2: double bedded room (queen size bed) plus one single bed with en suite bathroom (shower); Bedroom 3: double bedded room; Bedroom 4: single bedded room; Bathroom (walk-in shower).

Notes on layout

The areas with additional beds in bedrooms 1 and 2 are curtained off.

Bedroom 2 has doors to bedrooms 3 and 4. These doors can be locked.

Bedroom 3 is accessed from bedroom 2 or bedroom 4.

An additional bed can be requested for bedroom 4 (single bedded room)

Overview

This recently converted “summer house” is surprisingly spacious, sunny and bright!

Adjoining the owners’ house and beautifully flanked by gardens bursting with flowers, shrubs, beautiful mature olive trees, almond trees, ripe fig-trees, orange and the amazing scent of orange blossom, bright, joyful bougainvillea, intoxicating jasmine – The English owners do certainly know how to create a beautiful, lush, welcoming garden – whatever the time of year it will delight you.

There are resident cats in the estate and the property owners live next door with their dogs. Your privacy is respected but people with allergy to cats should now that cats may be around, although we were informed that they remain outside.

From the entrance gate and gravel parking area – walk along the garden path, with a pretty fountain, passed the owners entrance, under the ancient olive tree and up to a pleasant sun terrace – Furnished with table and chairs this is the perfect spot for alfresco meals and socials in general.

Glass doors open from the terrace into the open-plan kitchen/living and dining room – A recent addition, this room has been designed to be the hub of the house and has a pleasant communal feel to it.

The house throughout is comfortable, cheerful and unfussy. Decorated with a mixture of modern and antique furniture, Moroccan, Spanish, and Northern touches, the overall feel is a warm and inviting place to stay. Ideal for families, groups of friends or anyone wanting to enjoy the best of rural Andalusia.

The house was presented to Rustical Travel as a villa that sleeps 11 people but we consider the particular layout to be more suitable for one single family of up to 6 and 2 children maximum. One single family will appreciate the privacy indoors and a variety of sleeping arrangements

The house sits in half an acre (2000 sq m) of cyprus, olive and almond trees stretching across three terraces. On the lower terrace, partly secluded by trees and shrubs, is the 9m swimming pool with spacious stone terrace, perfect for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade.

The irresistible south facing swimming pool is set a short distance from the house, down a few wide steps, a lovely sunny terrace complete with loungers, chairs, table and surrounded by lush vegetation offering plenty of shade. Perfect for relaxing in the sun, or in the shade of the generous old olive tree, while enjoying a good book or simply admiring the sweeping views across the valley to the mountains beyond.

This is a very relaxing place to just “be”, but if you do want to venture beyond its boundaries there are many wonderful places to visit – The Mediterranean beaches are just a 30 minutes drive south. The southern slopes of Sierra Nevada, Las Alpujarras, less than 30 minutes away, offering amazing walking, horse riding, mountain biking. Its a nature lovers paradise! Granada, and the Alhambra, is a 40 minute drive away. And, of course, there are lovely walks from just outside your door…
