The pool house also has good self-catering facilities as outlined above in Enjoyment.

Extras

The pool house has stocked up fridge(s) with drinks which are replaced regularly by property managers. Bread and croissants can be ordered locally. You pay for these extras on departure (prices are low).

All on one floor (200 m2 in total - main house and annexe are linked via internal doors)

Four bedroom house - sleeps 6: Reception; Living area; Kitchen; Dining room; Utility room; Bathroom (bathtub with shower over); Bedroom 1: Single bedded (bed size: 0,80 x 2,10 metres); Bedroom 2: Single bedded (bed size: 0,80 x 2,10 metres); Bedroom 3: Twin bedded room (beds sizes: 0,80 x 2,10 metres); Bedroom 4: Twin bedded room (beds sizes: 0,80 x 2,10 metres).

Two-bedroom annexe - sleeps 5 (connected with main four-bedroom house via dining room): Bedroom 5: Twin bedded room (bed sizes: 0,80 x 2,00 metres); Bedroom 6: Triple bedded (bed sizes: 0,80 x 2,00 metres); Bathroom (bathtub shower over).   

Notes on Layout

Although the entire accommodation with the 2 interconnected units is on one floor and can be practical for people with reduced mobility, the house is slightly elevated from the ground and accessed by a few steps.

On the previous request, twin bedded rooms may be prepared as doubles bedded.

Although there are six bedrooms, two bedrooms in the main 4 bedroom house are single so the maximum capacity is 11 people.

The property owners/managers live in a different house with their own access; your privacy is respected.

Overview

Families and friends seeking a five-star resort without having to share with strangers, will be curious to hear more about this unusual private villa in the Penedes area. Driving down the dusty rural track you may wonder what is waiting, until you stumble upon the farmstead, unassuming at first, but on closer inspection – a stunning retreat.

This 6 bedroom villa consists of a beautiful four-bedroom cottage and a two-bedroom apartment, a sprawling pool surrounded by lush lawns, and one of the most incredible pool houses we have ever seen – all this sets the scene for a wonderful holiday close to Barcelona.

This space gets the highest marks for outdoor living, with gorgeous gardens flanked by rolling green lawns and views of the Montserrat Mountains, children can run with a great feeling of freedom.

The 10-meter pool boasts plenty of space for daytime splashing, and when lit up at night sets the mood for star gazing and al fresco dining. 

It’s the pool house that is the crowning jewel of this property, comprising of a beautiful lounge area with exposed beam and brick, a shaded terrace for drinks, and great barbeque facilities. The whole group or family can gather here together. It is all beutifully prepared for 11 people; you can eat all together or sunbathe all at once.

Every detail has been pampered to perfection; a theme that continues throughout the property. The owners truly care for their guests, and while they give plenty of space for privacy – they live on the lower slopes of the estate and are always on hand should you need anything.

Inside the main cottage, not a trace of rustic farm life remains – everything is arranged across one floor in a modern chalet style. The pine ceilings, cream colours, and well-kept touches make for inviting spaces. The four bedrooms all boast sumptuous beds, as long as 2.10 and with stunning views out across the countryside.

Despite not having en-suite facilities, the wealth of five-star features earned this villa a place in our luxury books.

The large barn has been transformed into a games room, with indoor badminton court, football pitch and table tennis for hours of entertainment.

When you can bear to tear yourself away, the surrounding area has a myriad of walks and wine making vineyards to explore.

The nearest village with restaurants and shops is a pleasant 15-minute stroll through the forest and close by you can visit a wonderful restaurant at the Castle of Orpi.

With the mountains on your doorstep, there are plenty of day trip choices. Bright and buzzing Barcelona is easily within reach, as is the glitzy coastal charm of Sitges. With Penedes being famous for its wine – you can stock up on beautiful bottles to enjoy around the pool.

What an amazing place; such superb facilities. The sports barn was a great hit, even though the heat restricted its use, but we did have a lovely pool to cool off in. The views of the Montserrat mountains are magical. Roman was a wonderful host and wanted only to ensure that we had a good time. Capellades is a good base for shopping and the Paper Mill Museum was an unexpected pleasure. Thank you Roman."

We loved it here. This is the place for you if you want peace and quiet, beautiful views from the house and garden, a lovely pool, an amazing sports hall for moments of energy, plenty of space for everyone in the house and immaculate garden, two outside eating areas and 5 mins drive to Capellades which has 2 very good supermarkets. Roman (owner who lives onsite) was generous, very helpful and attentive but never intrusive. Its exactly as the photos and description says. Just bring insect repellent!"

We normally book a package holiday through a travel agency so we were a little bit worried about booking it ourselves but from day one rustical travel were brilliant... Nothing we asked them was any trouble and all the holiday tips and directions were great... And wow once we got to our villa we were blown away... All the photos on the website for the property are beautiful and they are exactly what the villa is like.... We had the most amazing holiday and Roman was so nice and helpful...
