Overview
Ronda area offers one of Andalusia’s most dramatic settings – with its jaw dropping ravines, river valleys, and Moorish old towns.
Nestled in the gentle folds of Ronda hills you can find this traditional family owned villa.
Since day one, the local family behind this villa have been committed to providing a clean and beautiful space for visitors to call their own.
The key is in the details; with well-crafted furniture, earthy tones, and modern gadgets like Wi-Fi, AC and roller blinds to bump it up into our luxury books.
The kitchen is well equipped and the open breakfast bar helps cooking become a social event in true Spanish fashion.
The solid stone villa offers three bedrooms – making it large enough for a small family but also cozy enough for a couple.
The master bedroom on the ground floor is superior with built in AC and a tastefully bright ensuite bathroom with hillside views.
Couples looking for a romantic escape will be pleased to know that the property offers a reduced rate for a 2 guest stay.
Families will also reap the benefits of a large attic lounge, triple bedded top floor room, and even a gated pool making it suitable for traveling with children.
With Andalusia enjoying bountiful sunshine and balmy temperatures, this villa doesn’t fall short when it comes to outside space.
The generous 9-meter pool is a welcoming shade of blue and the D shape design allows you to cool off on hot days.
There are several sweet spots dotted around the property for al fresco dining and view gazing.
Sip an evening glass of wine on the lounge terrace, enjoy sprawling hillside views from the attic terrace, and nibble on poolside snacks out on a sun lounger.
The poolside toilet and shower are a reminder as to the practicality of this well thought out home.
With open countryside at every angle and being on the cusp of the Grazalema Natural Park, the setting feels completely private, you can sunbathe without the worry of being overlooked.
Yet you haven’t been left to the wild, only 1.5 km away you will find the whitewashed village of El Gastor.
Peaceful but lively squares and long summers set the scene in this traditional rural village.
In El Gastor you will find a small pocket of shops, bars and restaurants and the town of Ronda is just beyond the borders.
Location
A gentle valley of the Ronda mountains, within the Natural Park of Grazalema, close to Zahara Lake.
By an olive-planted hillside, at just 1.7 kms from El Gastor village (simple facilities, bars, restaurants). The track to the property is about 800 metres long, partly paved and perfectly negotiable with an ordinary car. You can park to download by main property door then use parking area with plenty of space.

YOUR REVIEWS
This was the fourth villa we've booked via Rustical Travel and it was the best! Communication and the ease of booking was fantastic from start to finish, Rustical are the very best in the business as far as I'm concerned. The villa was perfect for us. The peace and quiet was just what we needed, and having no neighbours suited us down to the ground, it's completely private. The welcome from the family who own the villa was outstanding, so friendly and warm. I messaged them beforehand to ask if they could arrange for some shopping to be done for us as we'd be arriving on a Sunday when shops are closed and they were more than happy to do that for us, even including more than we'd asked for, nothing is too much trouble. They were also really responsive when there was a problem with the electronic blind and it was fixed by an engineer the morning after I'd reported it. One of the things that impressed us most was how spotlessly clean the villa was; it's the cleanest holiday rental we've ever stayed in. It is a really comfortable villa, beautifully furnished, well equipped and spacious and the owners seem to have thought of everything you could possibly need. Outside, there are many areas to relax in with enough shady spots for those who burn easily (me). The pool is gorgeous and has a toilet next to it so you don't have to keep going up the stairs to the house. There's also a barbeque and fridge outside which unfortunately we couldn't use due the dry weather conditions and fire risk in the area but it, again, was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Everywhere around the villa has a view, mainly across olive groves and as it's at the end of a private road you won't get anyone passing by, either on foot or by car. It's very secure as well with electronic gates at the entrance. El Gastor is a very pretty traditional town and worth a wander around. Ronda is a short drive away and is beautiful with lots of shops and places to eat, and many historical sites. There are some small shops locally but if you want to do a big shop Olvera is the nearest town with a supermarket, about 25 minutes away. You can see the town in the distance from the balcony. We loved our stay and would thorougly recommend it, the photos don't do it justice!"
+ Read moreA beautiful property, set apart from the town, overlooking hills, valleys and with distant views of Olvera. Can't recommend it enough. The family who run it are delightful, informative and really welcoming. Well-equipped inside and very attractive outside with a great pool. Perfect location for exploring the area."
+ Read moreThis property is outstanding! Location is amazing and the facilities are excellent. The photographs look good, but in reality, they do not reflect the actual standard of the stunning facilities on offer here, which are so much more beautiful than the pictures!. There is nothing you can fault, the rooms are beautiful, the location is second to none, the sun reaches all of the property at various points in the day so you can relax in the sunshine no matter what time it is. The pool is just perfect, with the outside kitchen so close with the fridge to keep your drinks cool right on hand. The communication between ourselves and the owners was brilliant - there was everything we needed in the Rustical Travel pack/information sent prior to our holiday and Cristian gave us really good advice and information for the local area and everything we needed to know about meeting his parents at the property on arrival. Our guided tour of the property with the owner was really lovely, they showed us absolutely everything we needed to know and were keen to answer any questions we had. This all made for a really lovely start to an amazing holiday. The guidance information about the property and the surrounding area supplied by the owners was really helpful - this made sure we had everything we needed to decide where to visit, eat and relax, all very accurate. All in all, we would recommend this property 100%, it is perfect, whether it be for a couple (like us) or a family group, there is everything you need."
+ Read moreA fabulous 10 night stay in mid to late September. Fabulous views from everyone angled and so private. This was also the quietest villa we have stayed in which added to the tranquil feel. A well equipped luxurious villa maintained in superb condition by the friendly owners. So many beautiful seating areas to enjoy, each with it's own individual charm. Great pool too, again with fabulous views. Hard to fault this villa, but some softer more relaxing seating would be a benefit as although most of the seating areas are equipped with functional seating they lack in long term comfort. Overall this villa is hard to beat!"
+ Read moreEverything was perfect. The villa and the swimming pool area was nice and clean. We really loved this quiet and peaceful location. We can highly recommend this villa."
+ Read moreA beautiful and exceptionally well equipped house with lots of space and a variety of terraces and areas for any time of the day. We liked the unheated pool, even in April. The setting is gorgeous, and if you don't mind a bit of uphill to the road, the pretty village of El Gastor is about 40 minutes' walk along a nicely paved path beside the road. A peaceful and relaxing retreat."
+ Read moreHouse and pool are lovely, location and views superb. We were rather caught out by the lack of flexibility on the times to meet the contact at the house and also the complete lack of any foodstuffs such as salt pepper, seasonings etc! Apart from that it was well equipped and comfortable."
+ Read moreI’m loathed to tell people how fantastic this place is through fear of it never being available again. My trip here was fantastic. Absolutely beautiful location and very very private spot. We were not bothered for our whole stay by anyone. Just the way we like it. House is very nice and the host and agent were very friendly and helpful. The measure of any place is if you’d consider going again. Well. I’m already planning my trip for next year."
+ Read moreOne of the nicest holidays we have had. Rustical were superb in their administration and Lee and Isabel could not have been more helpful. The house was immaculate. We will definitely be returning. Perfect."
+ Read moreLovely house in breathtaking mountain setting. Immaculate inside with lots of thoughtful touches. Pool was great. Also highly recommended restaurant by the municipal pool in the village. We had a lovely stay"
+ Read moreWe stayed at the villa for the last 2 weeks of July and loved every minute. The villa is well equipped and benefits from air conditioning in all rooms. Everything you need is in the villa from Nespresso coffee machine, well equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms (2 ensuite), TV with hardrdrive with 100+ movies, a great pool with terrace which also has a sink, fridge + BBQ. The villa is located down a steep driveway and although it's less than 2km to the el Gastor it was too steep to walk especially in the heat. El Gaston is a small village with a few bars and restaurants. Our favourite village was Zahara which is about a 20-25min drive away and up in the hills with very good bas + restaurants. For food shopping we would go to Ronda as this was a large town with far more shops, restaurants."
+ Read moreA magical, totally private and peaceful place to relax and unwind. It is a perfect location - whether you choose to visit nearby Pueblos, have day trips to some amazing cities, take walks in the beautiful nature or simply spend have a day by the swimming pool! The owners were delightful and rightly proud of their property. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for anyone seeking an away from it all holiday."
+ Read moreLovely villa, would highly recommend."
+ Read moreLovely villa, very clean and well equipped. Location was just as we wanted, peaceful and private. We were met at the villa by the owner's who were really lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend this villa."
+ Read moreThe property was perfect for us. It is set on it’s own plot so you get a real sense of privacy . However the local village is only a twenty minute walk away if you want to eat/drink or buy basics . The villa and outside areas were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed . Even had a pizza oven ! Pool was a good size. Views were absolutely breathtaking. Rustical Travel were really helpful and made the whole booking process very easy."
+ Read moreThe villa was stunning and felt like home from home. Mrs Isabel and her son made us feel very welcome and showed us around the property making sure we knew how everything worked, including the door alarm. It was very important that we remembered to have a key with us when we went down to the pool as the door locked as soon as it was shut - this never caused us any issues during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed all our meals shopping in the nearby Olvera. During our stay we visited Grazalema which was a beautiful drive with tremendous mountain roads and scenery and the view of Lake Zahara. We also took the opportunity to walk through El Gastor and visit the Dolmen Del Gigante. A peaceful walk with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. After the walk it was beautiful to shower and cool down in the beautiful pool - the villa is secluded and we never felt looked over and the peace and quiet was just what we needed for our break. Rustical Travel mention that there are 2 flights of stairs down to the pool, you can avoid one of these flights of stairs by descending a ramp and it is then a short flight of stairs down to the pool. At the first level there is now a gazebo, which is not depicted in the photo, which helps to provide some welcome shade, and there is a table and chairs with shade provide by the poolside too. A beautiful place, one which we would highly recommend. Rustical Travel kept in touch with us prior to our visit, ensuring we received the directions, and contacted us to make sure that all was well and at the end of our stay wishing us well for our journey home. Thank you all, it was perfect."
+ Read moreThis is a lovely villa, clean and well equipped and location quite private. There was only 3 of us, so we didn’t use the upstairs. The pool area is fantastic. Kitchen was great, TV had a hard drive with great range of films. It’s about a 20 minute walk to El Gastor, which has some good shops, butchers and bakery (lovely cakes). Good restaurants also. We used the supermarket in Olvera which was 25 minutes away, very good quiet rode and easy to get to. The only negative we have, is there have been some sun shades installed, which are generally good, except for the one under the balcony, this spoils the view over the pool. The pictures need updating on the site as the fencing around the villa has also been changed, we preferred the rustic look, but can imagine it’s a safety precaution. The only access to the villa is around the back, which means it’s a good walk down two flights of stairs to the pool. The door automatically locks, so you have to remember to take the key, when going to the pool otherwise you’ll get locked out. There is three large files with lots of villa information, that is really good, however there are lots of warning of fines; for e.g if you leave the BBQ dirty, mess up the hard drive, break the blinds, lose the TV remote, etc ... we understand this but it was a bit off-putting. There are also lots of warning posters up outside, no diving, mind your head, which makes it not feel as homely. All in all this is still a lovely villa with great views in a quiet area. We would recommend trips to Ronda, Grazelma, Zahara de la Sierra. Great pre booking information from Rustical Travel, as always. Jose met us at the villa and was really helpful showing us round."
+ Read moreThis is a truly fantastic villa - the owner has thought of everything, and made it a real home from home. Luxurious, clean, spacious and a BEAUTIFUL pool, very private and set amidst olive and almond trees. El Gastor is a short drive / walk from the villa and has everything you need - supermarkets, fishmonger, butcher, cafes and restaurants. We were really surprised to find the prices in the local shops were actually less than the big supermarket in Ronda, but this is also a great place to visit (30 min drive away). The cleaners and villa manager were also so helpful and kind, including taking us to the local doctor when my son was unwell mid-way through the holiday. Do take a Spanish phrase book if you are not fluent as very little English is spoken in El Gastor (which is lovely). A wonderful experience, made all the better by being lucky enough to stay in such a beautiful home."
