Overview

We are always delighted to find authentic village houses with private swimming pools in Andalusia’s most beautiful mountain villages.

This one is nestled in the centre of Gaucin between other village houses giving it a feeling of cheerfulness and security.

The owner is a ceramicist, and we immediately noticed the aesthetically pleasing touches in this house lovingly created by such a craftsperson.

You are first welcomed by a terrace with the sight of the super swimming pool below you on the lower terrace.

As it is in the middle of the village, the outdoor areas can be partially overlooked, but there are also private niches to stretch out in peace.

Refreshed from your rejuvenating swim, climb up to the ground floor terrace, enter the large patio doors and perhaps fix yourself a margarita or a healthy salad in the lovely bright airy kitchen. You will find it well equipped and well laid out with plenty of space to cook and enjoy meals.

On this floor is located one of the bedrooms. It is comfortable and simple with the potter’s touch, and it is next to a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Upstairs is the wonderful luminous living room with gorgeous views of the Andalusian landscape.

The twin-bedded room is on this floor enjoying the same tender tasteful touches as the double-bedded room. It also has a bathroom next to it.

Throughout the property there are beautiful terracotta floors creating a rustic and warm ambience.

This is a great house for all seasons: in summer enjoying the tropical days and the balmy nights on the terraces, in the pool or out in the streets, amongst the ambience of Spanish culture and tradition; and in winter with the radiant sun (generally) and wood burning stoves in the main rooms and electric heaters in the bedrooms and bathrooms, keeping you cosy and warm.

From your doorstep you can walk to bars, restaurants, shops, pharmacy, bank, etc. And the Costa del Sol with good beaches is just over thirty minutes by car.

We found this holiday property offer reasonable quality and practicality in its layout and accessories. It is a homely village house, a great place for a rememberable holiday!

YOUR REVIEWS

Zoe | August | 2023

An exceptional property in Gaucin. Centrally located with plenty of parking in the local vicinity (up to 10 min walk if you park the furthest away). The house is beautifully curated and very clean. The kitchen contains everything you need for light supper to more advanced planning. That said, the restaurants and bars are close by if cooking is a chore. The pool was magnificent. Plenty big enough for swimming or floating. Terraces were fit for either watching the sun go down with a glass of vino or breakfast gazing at the rooftops. We will be back! A wonderful stay and complete detox."

Lucy | August | 2022

The house is fantastic - in keeping with the rest of the village yet unique. It is much larger than we imagined it would be and the pool is simply glorious. We loved being slap bang in the middle of the village near to shops and restaurants. The village is well-placed for visiting lots of interesting places if you tear yourself away."

We loved the house. Very well equipped and very comfortable. The pool is just fantastic. The photos don't do the place justice at all. Great outdoor eating spots on the terraces and near the pool."
