Sinopsis

Very good experience: well organised with clear directions to property and very friendly welcome when we arrived. Beautiful traditional property in a gorgeous rural setting, well located for day trips out to mountains, coast, historic towns and villages. Not nearly enough time to see everything. Thanks!"

Gracias!!"

We would recommend this property. It is in a wonderful location with wonderful views. The property has all the facilities you need for a perfect self catering holiday. Our only regret was that the 1 and only bar/restaurant in the village closed on the very day 23rd September we arrived for a 2 week holiday for the owners, but there is another a 30 minute walk away."

Charming hosts. Beautiful house, very ancient and filled with lovely furniture. Outdoor eating area. Great region. We had a very nice family Holliday with small and teenage children. Beaches 30 min away. Canoeing 40 min away. Excellent local restaurant/bar 2 minutes walk away. Highly recommended. And Rustical Travel were very helpful! All in all a great week in Asturias."

We couldn't be more pleased with Rustical Travel! I tried to book a cottage and the dates would not work and they were so kind to send us a list of all available properties and we could not believe our luck with AT27! Customer service prior to arriving was amazing, the local guides were very helpful (maps would help even more as our GPS couldn't find everything) The country house as we dubbed it was incredible!!! Peaceful and serene, every attention to detail was there, the house was clean, has lots of amenities and we loved our stay and were very sad to have to leave."

We had a wonderful time at this villa. The scenery from the garden and balcony was beautiful. We were able to take walks directly from the villa. Our granddaughter loved the swing in the garden and spent many happy hours on it, and what a pleasure it was, with the view, to stand and push her. We were ideally placed to venture into the Picos de Europa and all the amazing scenery of the area. We also enjoyed trips to the beach, all within a short car journey. The villa was cosy, but welcomingly cool on hot days. Maria, the daughter of the caretaker, who met us on our arrival, was very kind, and spoke English very well, which was very useful, because to our shame, we spoke no Spanish. We would highly recommend this villa."

We had the most wonderful holiday, booked at the last minute with the help of Javier who gave us great advice and was super responsive to my questions. The local and travel information provided by Rustical Travel was excellent and saved me spending time I didn’t have spare researching where to go and what to see. The house itself was nothing short of wonderful. We were met by the owner, Rosaura, and her daughter Sara who was able to translate for us. The home was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with so many wonderful and interesting features. My children loved sleeping in the cosy ‘dormitory’. We had very changeable spring weather and the log burner was lit every night. But most days we were able to sit outside while the boys enjoyed the garden and we enjoyed the view. Asturias itself - the people and the place - is wonderful and we would love to return one day. There is so much more we’d like to see. We’d absolutely book the same property through Rustical without hesitation. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a holiday where we relaxed 100% and time seemed to slow down. Thank you."

Really lovely property in the most delightful setting. The views are just wonderful and the gentle clanging of the cows bells just made it a superb place to relax. The owners have put effort in to making it very comfortable with a feeling of home from home. Just the two of us staying there so we were able to spread out! There are a lot of ornaments scattered around so might not be good if you have very young children. Enclosed south facing garden area with swings. Would have been good to have had some more relaxing outside furniture i.e. loungers, however it really was special, we will probably go back. We also had the most fabulous walks without having to drive, especially climbing the hill tight in front of the house (two hour climb to top). Very nice and not at all overlooked. Nice traditional bar in the village and owners have left Tupperware containers in kitchen so you can have a take away from the bar/restaurant."

We had a wonderful time staying at AT27 near Nava. It was an amazing house, full of history and very comfortable. It really did feel luxurious. The views from the garden were superb and the constant sound of the cow bells in the valley was very relaxing. It was a good base to explore the surrounding area and to visit Oviedo, Gijon, the coast and the mountains. Your information pack was excellent and meant that we had no problems finding the meeting point with the owner (although she did not speak any English and I cannot speak Spanish but it all worked out in the end!). The only negative point on the property was that there could have been a few more cooking utensils e.g colander, more saucepans, more mugs/glasses etc. but this is a very minor point. Overall, we all had a great time and would certainly recommend Rustical Travel and Asturias to friends and family. Thanks again. Chris Walker"

What a delightful old stone property, full of Rustic charm! The property had been the current owners parents home, and had all the little touches and luxuries that made it feel like a home rather than a holiday villa, and it was a wonderful place to stay. It also boasts the fact that the Spanish version of Doc Martin was filmed here! It is in a great location in a small village, but within easy reach of the town and local supermarkets. The garden has a sheltered table which is a lovely spot to have meals whilst looking over the hills and listening to the sound of cow bells. The bar in the village serves good food with a very friendly service, and despite the language barrier, still managed to help us when it came to ordering food, and show us the etiquette of cider drinking. It is a great area for exploring the coast and mountains, including the Picos de Europa and is ideal for walkers. All in all I would highly recommend it."

Very happy with your service. Accurate description of house and location. Helpful information provided, including what to say, when phoning owner to inform her of arrival at the meeting place. Appreciated help in forwarding messages to Rosaura, as our Spanish is very limited. Only problem was the lack of wifi, which made it difficult to find information about opening times of restaurants, museums etc. We used the wifi at the tourist information centre in Nava, but they were not open every day and times did not fit well with days out. Planning a trip in the spring to Galicia. We'll be in touch. Regards, Marion"

Thank you Javier, this propert ticked every box for us. Our first and last impression.... Fabulous! The whole place has been very tastefully decorated and felt like a home from home. It's cosy and comfortable. The bonus of a wood burner made early October evenings an absolute treat. The dark shutters made it almost impossible to wake up. It was bliss. if I have any small criticism, there was only one blunt kitchen knife, and a couple of smaller pans and a colander would be a huge help. I love to cook though not on holiday, however it was such a pleasure to come back to in the evenings, why leave? The owners were lovely, we struggled to understand each other but their daughter's English was very helpful. We must work harder on our Spanish! Everything was as you described, the surrounding countryside was beautiful with some stunning walks. Great tourist information in Nava. Thank you for your advise it was very much appreciated. Our second experience with Rustical was just as good as the first, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to others. Our best wedding anniversary ever."
